*** COVID-19 UPDATE ***
Update - 18/01/2021
We have been very busy working our way through a backlog of patients who need urgent dental treatment or who are at high risk of oral disease, prioritising patients on a needs basis. We are following national guidelines carefully, to ensure we see our patients in the safest way possible. This means extra time between patients, fewer patients in the building, and lots of extra protective equipment, amongst other things.
We are still facing some restrictions, which affect the number of appointments we can provide for treatments that generates an aerosol (drops in the air) such as fillings, crowns, root canal treatment, some treatments for gum disease.
As you can imagine, it is very time consuming to contact each and every patient by phone. Please give us a hand by contacting us for an appointment if you fall into the following categories:
1. You are currently experiencing a problem, or are worried about something in your mouth.
2. You / your child usualy attend more often than most people (for example, if you have been told you have or are at risk of having gum disease or active decay)
3. You are a smoker or consume above the recommended amount of alcohol.
4. You / you child receives fluoride varnish or are prescribed supplementary fluoride at regular intervals.
5. You were awaiting dental treatment / in the middle of treatment before lock-down and have not yet arranged an appointment.
***If you are unsure if you need to book, please contact us by phone on 01656 733295***
GUIDELINES ARE CHANGING FREQUENTLY DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF COVID CASES IN OUR LOCAL AREA, BUT AT THE MOMENT, NO ROUTINE CHECK-UPS ARE BEING CARRIED OUT.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY WITHOUT SPEAKING TO US ON THE TELEPHONE FIRST 01656 733295.
There will be some elements of your appointment, such as questions about your health that will be completed over the phone before you attend the surgery, and some rules that you will need to be followed when you attend.
We appreciate that this may be frustrating time for some people. Please be patient, and stay safe.
From all the team at Talbot Street Dental Surgery.
